Thesis

A few decades after the civil rights era had ended, Daryl Davis, an African American musician who fell victim to many incidents of racial discrimination himself, embarked on a journey to discover why some people hated others simply because of skin color. An incidental meeting with a Ku Klux Klan member at a lounge sparked discourse with high-ranking officials of the KKK about race. Through their dialogue, he shattered many member's unfounded beliefs about race dominance. This led many to leave the Klan and disassemble the Maryland KKK, proving communication is one of the most effective weapons.
